Braces — this is the most common fixed appliance which entails of bands, many wires or brackets. Bands are to be fixed around the teeth and used as a main part of the appliance and the brackets are most often bound to the front tooth. Arch wires are for putting the pressure on the teeth which moves them gradually on the proper position.
